There are different areas that are significant to the game. They can range from buildings, cities, towns, villages or even other worlds. Players use these locations as focal points for travelling throughout Runescape or for their questing needs. They can also used as a means of getting around Gielinor.

There exists many locations in Old School Runescape, and this article will attempt to document as many as possible. This is an ongoing project so please feel free to contribute locations that you know of. The list below represents the locations that we currently know of in Old School Runescape.

Western Province OSRS

The Western Province is one of the five provinces located in the area known as Gielinor. The Western Province is a location that is home to many different settlements, including the city of Ardougne and the town of West Ardougne. There are also several other notable locations in this area, including the Sinclair Mansion, the Tree Gnome Stronghold, and the Grand Tree.

Eastern Province OSRS

The Eastern Province is one of the five provinces located in the area known as Gielinor. The Eastern Province is a location that is home to many different settlements, including the city of Falador and the town of Taverley. There are also several other notable locations in this area, including White Wolf Mountain, Gunnarsgrunn, the Piscatoris Fishing Colony, and the Tree Gnome Village.

Desert OSRS

The Desert is a vast expanse of land that makes up the majority of the Kharidian region. Exploration in this area is not for the faint of heart as the desert is almost entirely inhospitable, with no settlements or other points of interest. The only notable location in the Desert region is the city of Al Kharid, which can be accessed via a toll gate near Shantay Pass.

Wilderness OSRS

The Wilderness is an area that has been ravaged by constant warfare for years. Several skirmishes and battles have been waged in this area, and much of the land has become inhospitable. The only notable location in the Wilderness region is the God Wars Dungeon, which becomes accessible from Edgeville when the player gains access to a ferocious ring.

Ape Atoll OSRS

The Island of Ape Atoll is a small island located in the area known as the South Seas. It is home to many different species of monkey-like creatures known as Apep. There are several locations on this island, including Crash Island, Goshima, and Mutiny Island.

Fremennik Province OSRS

The Fremennik Province is one of the five provinces located in the area known as Gielinor. The Fremennik Province is a location that is home to many different settlements, including the city of Rellekka and the town of Jatizso. There are also several other notable locations in this area, including Neitiznot, Waterbirth Island, Lunar Isle, and the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon.

Karamja OSRS

The Island of Karamja is a tropical island that is located in the South Seas. There are several notable locations on this island, including Shilo Village, Brimhaven, Musa Point, Cairn Isle, Tai Bwo Wannai, and the Shipyard.

Asgarnia OSRS

The Kingdom of Asgarnia is a location that is located in the area known as Gielinor. The kingdom is home to the city of Falador and the town of Burthorpe. There are also several other notable locations in this area, including Taverley, White Wolf Mountain, Darkmeyer, and the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon.

Kharidian Desert OSRS

The Kharidian Desert is a large expanse of land that lies in the south-east corner of Gielinor. This region is home to many settlements and other notable locations, including Nardah, Pollnivneach, Sophanem, and Menaphos.
